The International Physical Therapy Network (IPTN) announced the official commencement of its on-site clinic verification program in Southeast Asia on May 5, 2025. This program represents a core step in building trust and ensuring care quality across regions with rising physiotherapy needs.
The verification process includes an in-person assessment of clinic infrastructure, practitioner credentials, hygiene protocols, patient satisfaction systems, and technological integration. Clinics that meet IPTN’s global standards are awarded an official certificate of verification and are listed as “IPTN Verified” on the Global Directory.
This initiative was first piloted in the Philippines and Indonesia, with additional visits planned for Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia in the coming months. The goal is to build a visible and trusted network of clinics that patients can rely on, especially in tourist destinations and high-traffic regions.
According to IPTN’s Southeast Asia Coordinator, Dr. Marlon Diaz, "Our verification program is more than an inspection—it’s a partnership. We guide clinics to achieve global standards while respecting local realities."
The program also introduces workshops and resources for clinics seeking to improve their systems before applying. Clinics receive a detailed report with recommendations and are given access to mentorship from already-verified centers.
IPTN’s on-ground efforts are critical to creating a consistent quality experience for patients globally and empowering clinics with the tools to grow and connect. The organization aims to verify at least 250 clinics in Asia by the end of 2025.
