First Regional IPTN Ambassadors Appointed in 10 Countries

The International Physical Therapy Network (IPTN) has taken a significant step in expanding its regional impact by appointing its first cohort of Regional Ambassadors across 10 countries. These ambassadors will serve as official IPTN representatives, responsible for promoting standards, verifying clinic applications, and facilitating collaboration within their respective regions.

The appointments were announced on March 25, 2025, following a rigorous selection process that assessed leadership, professional integrity, qualifications, and dedication to global health development. Ambassadors were selected from countries including Kenya, India, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Egypt, Canada, the Philippines, Turkey, and Australia.

Each Regional Ambassador will act as a liaison between IPTN’s central team and local physiotherapy communities. Their core responsibilities include overseeing clinic verification processes, promoting IPTN’s initiatives, coordinating regional events, and guiding new members in understanding the standards of global physiotherapy.

"This initiative decentralizes our efforts and builds leadership within the regions that matter most," said IPTN's Director of Global Operations, Sarah Levine. "By empowering professionals locally, we strengthen the entire network globally."

The ambassador program also aims to ensure cultural sensitivity, better language accessibility, and region-specific standards that align with IPTN’s global vision. Ambassadors will also support in developing professional development workshops and encouraging local physiotherapists to become certified and listed in the Global Directory.

With this launch, IPTN hopes to inspire professionals in more countries to apply for ambassador roles, building a true worldwide alliance of physiotherapy excellence. This step marks a new era of regional leadership and professional unity within the network.
