In January 2025, the Global Health Forum—one of the most prestigious international platforms for healthcare innovation—formally recognized the International Physical Therapy Network (IPTN) for its outstanding efforts in modernizing and connecting physiotherapy practices around the globe.
The award, presented during the Global Health Forum’s annual conference in Geneva, praised IPTN’s use of technology, its transparency-based certification system, and the inclusive nature of its expanding Global Directory. The award specifically commended IPTN for "bringing structure, verification, and opportunity to physiotherapists in both developed and underserved regions."
Founded on the principle of collaborative healthcare, IPTN's mission to unite professionals worldwide and improve patient outcomes was described by the Forum as a “game-changing initiative with scalable global impact.”
This recognition comes at a pivotal time as IPTN continues expanding in regions such as Southeast Asia and sub-Saharan Africa, where the demand for accessible physiotherapy continues to rise. IPTN representatives were invited to lead two panel discussions during the event, one of which focused on the future of digital verification and patient trust in the rehab sector.
The IPTN leadership team emphasized that this recognition belongs to its growing network of members, ambassadors, and partner institutions who work tirelessly to ensure standards and compassion go hand-in-hand in care delivery.
Looking ahead, IPTN plans to invest further in AI-powered search tools for patients, expand its multilingual interface, and roll out the second phase of its Clinic Accreditation Toolkit.
